Moscow police inspector suspected in USD 500,000 bribery case

An inspector from the main Moscow police department suspected of bribery was arrested in Moscow after police seized USD 500,000, the Russian daily Gazeta.ru reported on Jan. 14.

“Police officers from the Department of Internal Security [USB] together with the Federal Security Service [FSB] arrested a Moscow police inspector suspected in bribery of a half million U.S. dollars,” Gazeta.ru reported.

The case was sent to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The suspect and his supervisors will be dismissed.
