Polish gas incumbent PGNiG allegedly hired two detectives to conduct surveillance on a vice president.

Polish gas incumbent PGNiG allegedly hired two detectives to conduct surveillance on PGNiG’s Vice-President Miroslaw Sz., following accusations of wrongdoing and inappropriate behavior, but the detectives apparently proved the accusation false – at a cost of PLN 100,000, the Polish business daily Biznes.pl wrote citing Puls Biznesu, April 4.

“After the Ministry of Treasury received a denunciation letter, which accused Miroslaw Sz. at wrong-doing, PGNiG’s authorities hired two private detectives to conduct surveillance on the Vice-President, which cost the company more than PLN 100,000,” the media wrote.

The denunciation letter named Miroslaw Sz., alleging him to have problems with drugs, contact with prostitutes and fraud, came to the Ministry of Treasury in 2012.

Information contained in the letter was proven to be misleading by the detectives. According to their report, someone wanted to deliberately harm the Vice-President, Biznes.pl wrote.
